I’m 78 years old, and I’m not too fond of post-rehab exercise programs. With that said, I recognize the need for doing so. Despite my dislike for sweating, I’ve been continuously exercising twice a week for 30 years with Benita Conway. I’ve also been playing poker with the same group of guys for the last 50 years. We only meet 3-4 times a year, but each game elicits comments from my peers about their latest illness, medicine, weight gain, aches, and pains. When that happens, I generally say nothing. My silence is based on the fact that I’m essentially complaint-free. I don’t have any of the structural or muscular problems my poker buddies suffer, especially since none of them regularly work out.

Benita, barre class, is a true game-changer. I’ve tried gyms and other programs before, but nothing stuck until now. Being able to work out from home or away, with a highly skilled instructor whose every session is unique and who cares deeply about guiding her students gently toward greater strength, agility, balance, and grace (yes, you get it all in barre class!) has improved my health and outlook beyond all expectation. I can’t recommend Benita highly enough!

Benita is the BEST! I started doing Zoom workouts with her at the beginning of the pandemic and a year and a half later, we continue to meet twice a week via Zoom. I really feel like the two 30 minute workouts we do has made me stronger and kept me in shape. I have never lasted this long with weekly conditioning workouts and I have always been physically active. The fact that I don’t have to fight traffic to the gym and can fit the workout into some part of my day has made all the difference! Benita is fun, she pushes you as much as you’ll allow and shows up like clockwork. I plan on continuing my workouts with her as long as she’ll continue to train me!
