The one thing that has kept me from going completely insane during these crazy covid times is taking private classes with Benita online via zoom! Her personalized workout routines to strengthen core, build muscle and increase my flexibility are intense, fun, and never boring – Benita really knows how to mix it up. I have been able to stay fit and strong and most of all maintain my weekly diet of pizza, quesadillas and ice cream!
I am a 65 years old producer always traveling to different locations for work – and hardly have any time to go to a gym. It is important for me to look good and feel good, especially when I am spending 15 hours a day on a movie set. So, I feel really lucky that I found Benita! We work out together on zoom – on my schedule – from home, office or hotel room. I look and feel 20 years younger – thank you Benita.

She has actually made exercise fun – guiding me through various exercises and strength training – talking, laughing and ignoring my cries to stop. I have recommended all my friends to Benita. She is not only super smart and incredibly generous with her time, but she has this uncanny ability to gently increase your level of fitness every session.
I have been working with Benita for several years now – and I can only tell you she has changed my life. I am a non-stop workaholic, been a member of numerous gyms. I never thought I would find a personal trainer that actually helped me look forward to exercising. But Benita has. It is one of the most enjoyable times of the week when working out with Benita. I just love her passion and energy. A workout that keeps me strong and in the best shape of my life.
Benita Conway has been my trainer for several years. I first started post-rehab training sessions with her on the recommendation of two long-time friends who have been training with Benita for many years.
I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis before I started training with Benita, and the condition was advanced enough for me to be treated with epidural injections. I was also in a year-long recovery period after having sustained a knee injury while under the direction of a young trainer. He gave me fitness training that was deemed to be inappropriate and dangerous by my doctor after the injury occurred.
Benita carefully assessed my chronic pain exercise needs, gauged my injury, weight, and physical conditions, and methodically guided me through exercises that helped strengthen my core and other muscles that helped brace my back and alleviate the knee’s lateral stresses. After a year, my back doctor was very pleased with my progress, no sciatica and other related pain from the pinched nerve condition of spinal stenos’.
When you train with Benita, her full attention is on you the entire time. She is constantly evaluating and adjusting your post-rehab training, asking for feedback on whether you achieved certain feelings for particular muscles. For example, she may ask you to turn your foot out a few more degrees on an exercise that will immediately help isolate the muscles targeted for that set of exercises. She never lets you out of sight – it is constant feedback, adjustment, encouragement work she does for me. It made the session fun, not easy but with a good balance of feeling achieved and challenged.
The result of these several years of training is a well-developed habit of twice a week one-hour long chronic pain exercise program– something I look forward to because I can feel and see the results of the supersets, interval post-rehab training, and as of late High-Intensity Interval Training for my nearly 62-year-old body. Benita helped me feel strong, balanced, and confident, and progressively more so through the years. I have recommended her to my friends, and quite a few have started training with Benita. Those who started have continued once they experienced her careful training. They are all grateful for the strength they gained with the work with Benita. She is simply the best!

All through the pandemic, I got a superb barre workout from Benita. A chair in my living room or a counter in my kitchen were my barres, and they worked just fine for her always varied, always challenging routines. I’m not a dancer, but it’s easy to follow the simple choreography and to progress as she slowly dials up the difficulty as we advance. Her ab work, using a ball, is the best I’ve ever done, and there’s absolutely no back strain as our abs quake (literally!) and we get stronger. I’m sitting here after having taken her class this morning, and I definitely feel my glutes, which we worked every which way. My balance is improving, I get a great cardio workout, and while the basics are always there, every single workout is different. Our classes include people of varied ages and levels, and she always offers modifications tailored to wherever we are.
Benita is such a good teacher, with clear instruction and gentle corrections when we need them. She’s continually learning, and we get the benefit of all her training. I couldn’t recommend her more highly. This isn’t super slick barre. It’s a little funky, a lot of fun, and it always feels fabulous.

I’m 78 years old, and I’m not too fond of post-rehab exercise programs. With that said, I recognize the need for doing so. Despite my dislike for sweating, I’ve been continuously exercising twice a week for 30 years with Benita Conway. I’ve also been playing poker with the same group of guys for the last 50 years. We only meet 3-4 times a year, but each game elicits comments from my peers about their latest illness, medicine, weight gain, aches, and pains. When that happens, I generally say nothing. My silence is based on the fact that I’m essentially complaint-free. I don’t have any of the structural or muscular problems my poker buddies suffer, especially since none of them regularly work out.
Maybe I’m just lucky, but I’m positive that years of post-rehab exercise, one hour a day, two days a week, has served me well. I suppose it, fair to say that the trainer one chooses all the difference.
Benita’s incredible knowledge of the entire body’s muscular system and her continuous physical therapy post-rehab program have essentially given me a pain-free existence. It, also important to note that she avoids the Drill Sergeant yelling, something I didn’t particularly appreciate when I was in the Army and like even less as a civilian.
During those 30 years of working out with Benita, I’ve never been injured-not even once-as. She watches every movement and immediately stops me if I’m positioned correctly. My family doctor is aware of the senior health care training Benita has designed for me and completely endorses her program. I don’t find as I get older, I somehow like exercising more, but I have found that it has been life-altering for me, especially as I compare myself with others my age.
